History
Sprouting from the roots of service rose
a passion for a group of friends with an immeasurable bond.
Intensifying that bond as roommates in the notorious apartment
723, these distinctive three women were able to give rise to
that zeal of service by beginning a new chapter in their lives.
Through several months of confusion, heartache, love, and laughter,
these effortless women were able to build their foundation on
the diverse campus of University of Texas at Austin and they
stood their ground, tirelessly. The ladies never wavered, because
the desires to serve and help those in need were ingrained in
their hearts. One day they helped a child learn how to read;
the next, they put a smile on a senior citizen’s face,
or made sure some of the less fortunate had a hot meal on a
cold winter’s day. However small the path they forged,
it was one they forged on their own through helping others.
Crossing over into a Sisterhood built through
the purest of intentions, these three women found a love in
their hearts that could be irreplaceable. They upheld the letters
of Delta Kappa Delta to the fullest, wearing them with pride
and soul, and put their wholehearted efforts into helping others,
and thus, the negativity of others and themselves vanished.
The Sisters are very proud of the strong
and resilient Sisterhood they have formed, and the people that
they have helped. What the future holds, they do not know, but
they do know whatever is to come their way, the future classes
of Delta Kappa Delta will have the same desire to change the
world that stemmed their own Sisterhood.
